Juicy day #2

I'm realizing that my September posts thus far have mostly been on juicing and eating light.  Which I have done a bit of but, in fact, I did want this blog to be a place where veg food looks (and is!) appealing and appetizing.  But at this point it's also about my own personal food journey so green juice it is.  Deal with it!
Day 2 of juicing (weekly, non-consecutive) was good.  Last week I had mostly smoothies and this week was mostly juices and I definitely felt more hungry with just juice.  (duh)  My mom joined me this week, yay!  When dinnertime rolled around we asked my dad and brother to go out to eat but no one was harmed during the course of the day.
4 leaves kale, 2 cukes, 1 stalk celery, 2 small apples, 1 lemon, 1 bit ginger

It's a lot of produce for sure.  And the juicer really creates very little waste, considering.  Juicing is also a good way to use up broccoli stalks and other not-really-edible leftover veggie parts.

This juice of carrot, figs, cucumber, celery and apple was such a beautiful color!
Not pictured: an afternoon smoothie.  1 banana, peaches, figs.  For a slightly more substantial and sweet treat.

So how do I feel about juicing?  I feel aight about it.  I do like having one dedicated day to drink juice and get loads of veggies and fruit into the body.  I feel great the next day.  Plus it's a forced stay-busy-and-go-to-bed-early day.  So, for now, I'm on the juice train to healthytown.  All aboard!
